Helpful Resources

Betrayal Trauma Recovery:

For those women out there who have recognized that the root emotional cause of their pelvic pain is betrayal trauma (rape, physical and emotional abuse, infidelity, porn addiction, etc.), the BTR website is an excellent resource. They dispense information through blogposts, podcast episodes, and new online counseling.

Dr. Jennifer Finlayson-Fife:

Dr. Jennifer Finlayson-Fife is an LDS (member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) sex therapist, who has created online courses for individuals and couples. As someone who was raised in a very conservative background regarding sexuality, I found her information contained in the “Women’s Sexuality and Desire” course very enlightening. In addition to online courses, she is featured on many podcasts and hosts workshops throughout each year!

Lara Parker:

Sometimes, it is just nice to know you aren’t alone. That’s how I felt when I found Lara’s Buzzfeed article. She is so raw, honest, and real. And I needed that. I needed to know I wasn’t alone. I hope you can find comfort there, too.

Me + My V:

“Me + My V is a central resource with desperately needed diverse knowledge, support, and love โ€“ to raise awareness and provide solutions for all humans suffering from vulvodynia (and other vulvovaginal or pelvic floor conditions).”

Radiant Life Design:

Lorraine Faehndrich is a Mind Body Mentor and a Pelvic Pain Relief Coach. Her website, courses, and group content are centered around helping women find lasting pelvic pain relief through the Mind-Body Connection. Lorraine writes blogposts which are very informative and insightful. I highly recommend checking out her site!

The National Vulvodynia Association:

Check it out if you haven’t already!

VuVaTech:

VuVaTech is a company that reached out to me through the comments on this blog! I am glad that they did. They have a magnetic dilator set, which promotes healing by creating a positive energy field while engaging in dilator work. I have not tried them personally, but the reviews on their website are very encouraging.
